- No hot water, or water only lukewarm
- Water running or dripping from the tundish or discharge pipe outside
- Pressure or temperature relief valve operating
- Faulty immersion heater, thermostat or motorised valve
- Expansion vessel or air gap needs recharging
- Banging or noisy pipes when hot taps are used
Water coming from the discharge pipe? This is a safety device doing its job, and it means something needs attention. Do not block the pipe. If the water is very hot or steaming, switch off the boiler and immersion heater and call us.
Annual servicing
Manufacturers of unvented cylinders such as Megaflo, Gledhill, Joule and Telford usually require an annual service to keep the warranty valid. The service checks the safety valves, expansion vessel or air gap, pressure reducing valve and controls. Work on unvented systems is carried out by an engineer holding the appropriate unvented hot water qualification.
