Central heating cleaning
Powerflushing for central heating systems
Sludge and scale in a heating system cause cold radiators, noisy boilers and repeated breakdowns. A powerflush can clear it, but it is not always the right answer, so we check first.
Phones answered 7am–8pm, 7 days a week. Gas Safe registered 943380.
Further work and parts are always priced and agreed before we carry on.
Signs your system may need cleaning
- Radiators cold at the bottom or in the middle
- Black or brown water when bleeding a radiator
- Boiler kettling, banging or overheating
- Repeated pump or heat exchanger failures
- Before fitting a new boiler to an older system
We will tell you if you do not need one
Not every cold radiator needs a powerflush. Sometimes the cause is a stuck valve, a radiator that needs balancing, or a single blocked radiator. We find the cause first and recommend the simplest fix that will work.
What a powerflush involves
A flushing machine is connected to your heating system. Cleaning chemicals are circulated through each radiator in turn, and the loosened sludge is flushed out. The system is then refilled with clean water and corrosion inhibitor. A typical home takes most of a day. Prices start from £540 including VAT, and we confirm your exact price before booking.
