If you let a property with gas appliances, the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 require a gas safety check every 12 months by a Gas Safe registered engineer. You must keep a record, give a copy to existing tenants within 28 days of the check, and give new tenants a copy before they move in.
What we check
- Gas appliances (boiler, hob, fire) for safe operation
- Flues and chimneys for correct operation
- Ventilation and gas tightness of the installation
- Safety devices and gas pressure where required
If we find anything unsafe, we explain the problem, make it safe as the industry procedures require, and give you a price to put it right.
